I got my Mom on this one. She kept backing up and backing up on it. She is very close to a worldly women and even studied with her for a while, but finally the women told her she was only doing it to keep up with friendship. So I asked my Mom, "would Joan survive Armageddon simply because she isn't a JW". My Mom reluctantly said, "no". I then said, "so your saying that the JW org is the only salvation?!?". To which she had to back up and say, "no I am not saying that, I just know in my heart it's the only way and therefore I have faith she won't make it". To which I easily pointed out about judging. Fact is JW's brains can't handle this argument and it's a great one to use, but should be used on a personal level so it makes it even more real.

Trying to show active JW's that they are 'Apostate' already.
by ThomasCovenant inwhenever i have brought up the subject of who will be saved at armageddon with a jw they always, without exception, deny that it is a teaching/ belief of the wt that everyone but them are going to be destroyed.
there's a very good reason for this of course.
how many people can go through life constantly aware that at any moment god is going kill 99.9% of the population?

So it was proven fact huh? Sorry to get off topic but I am calling bullsh*t on this "proven" healing. I do agree that for a dub to say Satan heals people is putting a kingdom against it's self....but I think your friend is full of it, or never had it to begin with.

I'm new...and heartbroken
by chaz84 ini'm still up early hours in the morning, because i'.
so upset with what my mum said to me on the phone today.
she told me she got the sack a week ago because her boss didn't agree with my mum being a jehovah's witness and that she lets 'children die' because of the no blood rules.

Wow you write like you've got a hot cockney accent! Indeed I feel for you and your Mom as well. She should sue the pants off of her employer! Your Mom sounds like my Dad minus the sexy feminine good looks.

This never bothered me and still doesn't. I often meet someone from another place and just say, "oh yea I have a friend that lives there". This isn't just a JW thing either, I think lots of people do that. It would be like if someone mentioned this board, even though I don't know you guys really I would just say, "oh I am on there and have a lot of friends". Sure I am not anyone's friend on here it's just a loose expression.

To my friends that are not in the US: Do you get this kind of propaganda?
by CaptainSchmideo ini know a lot of brits, aussies, canadians, etc, always marvel at the arrogance, haughtiness, and cockiness of us tourists visiting their countries.
or how mainstream us citizens just fall in line with anything that comes out of the government's mouth, accept any policy as "good", believe all that stuff about how "america is the greatest nation on earth!"..
how it gets ingrained into the being of most us citizens?.

Blood and the WTBS
by yknot intoday i got into a discussion with our congregations biggest blood ban defenders, while sitting at the doctors office.
after lecturing me on not having a blood key chain, i mentioned about the flash of blood that happens when inserting an iv, that the blood was "transfused" back into the person.
she didn't believe me at first but the nurse confirmed the drops of blood.. this really upset her since she has been in the hospital quite a bit since aging.

I should email this to my Mom as she said the WTBS has not gone soft on those getting blood.
